Compagnie Générale Transatlantique, 1908 - 1928

History

With her startup in May 1908 inaugurates a new service "single class" on the line Le Havre-New York. In 1924, is transferred on the Bordeaux-New York line. Reconditioned in 1928 and given in service in 1929 on the line of Colon under the name of GUADELOUPE. In June 1931, runs aground in front of Galveston and must be refloated. The steamer is laid up after a collision in the harbour of Saint-Nazaire in January 1934. Sold for the demolition in Saint-Nazaire at the end of 1936.
