History
Built on behalf of Compagnie Générale Maritime under the name of MARIE STUART. Brought into service in 1856 on the lines of South America (?) Transferred to Compagnie Générale Transatlantique in 1864. Renamed CARAIBE. Arranged to be used like stationary in the Antilles. From 1875, used exclusively as cargo liner. Sold for the demolition in 1882.
