History
Ship of the type C1-M-AV1 or pocket liberty built by Southeastern Shipbuilding Corp (Savannah) and completed by Tampa Shipbuilding Corp in 1946 under the name of PERSIAN KNOT. Delivered on September 18, 1946 to the French State and entrusted with management to Transat. Becomes property of the C.G.T. in 1948. Operated on line West Indies-USA. Sold on January 17, 1955 to the shipping company Norwegian A/S Nordstjernan, renamed SUN GLEAM. Resold in March 1963 to the shipping company South Atlantic Star (Panama), renamed STELLA ATLANTICA, then in December 1964 ADRIATIC for the shipping company Adriatic Star (Panama). December 30, 1968 arrives at Spezia for demolition.
