History
Cargo liner of 5200t built in 1919 in Great Britain. Standard cargo liner of type "C" intended for the effort of war, ordered by the British government under the name of WAR HORIZON but delivered like CAMBRONNE to the Compagnie Nantaise des Chargeurs de l'Ouest. Twin of the GRANDLIEU ex-WAR DRUMMER. Chartered by the Transat since 1934 then acquired in 1937 at the same time as the PENERF of the same company and therefore the MARTINIÈRE, SÈVRE and GRANDLIEU of the Companie Nantaise de Navigation à Vapeur. Alloted in 1939 to the CGAM. Seized by the occupant in Bordeaux on July 1940, entrusted with management to the German shipping company Hugo Ferdinand. Damaged by an air attack in Hamburg on March 1945. Refloated and stranded. Abandoned and demolished in 1950.
