History
Ex-EMPIRE built on behalf of the British shipping company Eastern & Australian Steamship Company. Brought into service in 1902 on a line connecting Australia to Hong-Kong and Japan. Changes two times her owner in 1918 and 1919. Bought by Transat in June 1920 and brought into service in January 1921 on the Bordeaux-Casablanca line, service which she will ensure until January 1931. Very elegant ship, with a cutwater stem. Demolished in 1931.
