History
Cargo liner of 8700t, 7th unit of the series of the 7 SAN ANTONIO, the only one built in France (Grand-Quevilly). Machine manufactured by Ateliers et Chantiers de France, Dunkerque. Is marked off her 6 sisterships only by the low height of the 2 cargo liners booms located at the foot of the castle. Put on line at the departure of le Havre on May 23, 1931 on the South Pacific. Requisitioned on August 26, 1940 in Bordeaux by the occupant. Restored on March 9, 1944. Damaged in the Gironde on August 29, 1944 at the time of the German retirement. Repaired in Bordeaux, put again into service on October 1, 1945. Laid up in Bordeaux in March 1954, sold on July 21 to South Seas Shipping (Hong Kong), renamed OCEAN TRADER. Resold in 1957 to Walter Shipping, Hong Kong. Demolished in Hong Kong in 1960.
