History
Sistership : VILLE DE MARSEILLE (1951). Brought into service in March 1952 on the lines of North Africa, at the departure from Marseille. Her career will be thwarted by many mechanical incidents. Sold in 1967 to the Greek shipping company Helen & Dimitrios Kyriakos. Renamed MEGALONISSOS KRITI and used on regular connections between Greece and Crete. Sold for the demolition in 1980. Whereas she was towed towards Barcelona, sinks by bad weather at about 57 miles in the North-East of Formentera, in the Balearic Islands.
