History
Norwegian banana ship of 2950t built in 1939 in Sandefjord under the name of JASMIN for Jasmin Operating Compagny of the Shipowner Anders Jahre. Bought on drydock by French Government, entrusted with management to the CGT, arrived at Le Havre on February 18, 1940. Retired in the Mediterranean on June 1940, accomplishes voyages to Algeria, Morocco and the West Indies until her laying up. Given to the occupant on December 16 1942 following the Laval-Kaufmann agreements, integrated into Kriegsmarine and transformed into mine layer in La Ciotat. Leaves the harbour again on May 1, 1943 under the name of POMMERN (SG12). Lost by mine on October 5, 1943 off Rapallo.
