Brought into service in October 1890 on the lines of North Africa, at the departure of Marseille. In January 1901, an explosion of boiler makes 8 wounded and requires 7 months of repairs. Is completely reconditioned during the winter 1908-1909. A promenade deck is added. February 27, 1909, is collided by steamer ORLEANAIS of the SGTM at the entry of the harbor of Marseille. Returns to the harbor but sinks straight down at her mooring station. The ship must be refloated then immobilized until August for repairs. On May 10, 1921, by bad weather, sinks straight down at her mooring station in the Harbor of Marseille. Is refloated and demolished.
