Freighted by the French Line in March 1920. Used on the line Le Havre – New-York till 1921. Laid up in Le Havre in December 1921. The delivery of a new liner ordered under the name of SUFFREN having been delayed, LEOPOLDINA is bought by the French Line in March 1923, renamed SUFFREN and reintroduced on the line Le Havre – New-York. The liner under construction is renamed DE GRASSE and will be finally delivered in August 1924. Withdrawn from service in October 1928. Out of commission in Le Havre. Broken up in 1929 in Genova.
