History
Third of a series of 5 ships, ordered under the name of MOGADOR. Sisterships : EUGENE PEREIRE (1888), DUC DE BRAGANCE (1889), VILLE D'ALGER (1890), GENERAL CHANZY (1891). Brought into service in June 1890 on the lines of North Africa, at the departure of Marseille. In 1900-01, undergoes a complete reconditioning and receives new boilers. Sold for the demolition in La Spezia in Italy in 1927, after a 37 years career.
