History
Tenth of a series of 12 ships. Brought into service in August 1880 on the lines of North Africa, at the departure of Marseille. In 1892-93, undergoes a complete reconditioning and receives a triple expansion engine. December 17, 1901, by bad weather, strands close to the lighthouse of Faraman. The wreck does not sink. In March 1902, breaks into two. She is declared total loss.
