History
Iron steamer with propeller, one chimney, three masts and cutwater stem, built at the Denny shipyards in Dumbarton in 1855, bought on slipway with the MITIDJAH, she is brought into service on September 24, 1855 on the line of Levant, then is assigned to the mail service serving Oran, Algiers and Tunis within the framework of the convention of 1854 signed with the State. In 1859 she is assigned to the additional lines of Levant with the MITIDJAH. In 1862 her masthouse is modified by removal of the yards to the second mast, then ensures the service out of postal convention of Black Sea at the departure of Constantinople. She is sold on January 25, 1875 to the Turkish shipowner Serki Bey Ballicin.
