Compagnie Générale Transatlantique, 1881 - 1907

History
Brought into service in 1865. She serves Corsica then, since 1872, North Africa. Is transferred to Compagnie Générale Transatlantique in December 1880. Serves Corsica, Italy and North Africa, at the departure of Marseille. In 1885-86, undergoes a full reconditioning and received new boilers. Is assigned like stationary in the West Indies. In 1892-93, receives new boilers again. In 1896, leaves the West Indies definitively and is assigned to the line connecting Bordeaux to London. March 7, 1907, strands close to Audierne in Brittany and takes fire. Is completely destroyed. No victims.
