Archives Collections

These are archives made up of files, registers, technicals drawings and periodicals. These different kinds of documents are present in the collections of all the companies (Compagnie Générale Transatlantique™, Compagnie des Messageries Maritimes™, Compagnie Générale Maritime), over a period going from 1850 to the present day.

The paper collections represent a mass 4.5 km long and is still growing with new stores for archives (ex: Comité Central des Armateurs de France).

The paper collections are currently being catalogued and their consultation will soon be rapid and efficient, thanks to a database that can be interrogated by the public. Research will be able to be done with the help of the table of contents who organises the paper collections by themes.
